Boton Flavors brings deep experience in tobacco flavoring. Drawing on the expertise of senior flavorists and combining instrumental analysis with sensory evaluation, the team accurately captures the flavor requirements of different tobacco products. On the technology side, Boton has built four core platforms: supercritical fluid extraction, nano-encapsulation, enzyme-directed catalysis, and synthetic biology. Supercritical extraction enables low-temperature, high-fidelity extraction that preserves the delicate notes of natural raw materials. Nano-encapsulation delivers precise, controlled flavor release. Enzyme-directed catalysis and synthetic biology enable efficient, targeted synthesis of rare aroma compounds.

In HNB-specific tobacco flavors, Boton has made important breakthroughs. The company has developed three dedicated flavors for heated tobacco products—tobacco base, tobacco flavor, and mild original tobacco flavor—tailored to the unique requirements of HNB. Because HNB devices operate at around 300–350°C, far below the 900°C combustion temperature of traditional cigarettes, HNB products require about 5 to 10 times the flavor loading of conventional cigarettes. Boton has optimized the heat-release curve of its HNB flavors to ensure full, stable aroma delivery at lower temperatures, with no burnt or chemical off-notes.

In natural tobacco extracts, Boton offers a range of products including Virginia tobacco extract, Yunnan tobacco supercritical extract, American flue-cured tobacco extract, and Oriental tobacco extract. These natural extracts provide tobacco companies with a rich set of flavor building blocks. Boton also offers a functional tobacco flavor series—including fresh sweet, spicy sweet, honey-cocoa, and American blend profiles—each serving a clear functional purpose.
